Introduction

Buffalo is located at the eastern end of Lake Erie. It is a fantastic place to live or vacation with lots of tourist attractions for visitors to check out. This is New York’s second-largest city.  Buffalo is definitely well worth visiting if you have the chance.

Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens

The beautiful Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens have lovely landscaped grounds and gardens. These were established in the late 1800s. At present, they have a huge collection of exotic plants. These range from orchids and bromeliads to water features and collections of cacti and carnivorous plants.

The Theodore Roosevelt Inaugural Site

It can be found just five minutes drive north of the city centre. Now it is a museum and protects the elegant Ansley Wilcox House.

KeyBank Centre

If you’re after exciting sports events and entertainment, then make sure to visit the KeyBank Centre in downtown. It is the home of the Buffalo Sabres who play in the National Hockey League. Plus, many other sports, concerts, and events take place here. It was built in 1996 and is the largest indoor arena in the area. Also concerts by artists such as Kanye West, Rihanna, and Justin Bieber are held here.

Forest Lawn

The colossal cemetery of Forest Lawn is home to thousands of mausoleums, monuments, and sculptures. The good part is that it looks more like a park than a graveyard. It was founded in 1849. Now, it covers a huge area with lush lawns and leafy trees. Forest Lawn perfectly mixes art with nature with stunning scenery.

Shea’s Performing Arts Centre

Another popular thing to do when in Buffalo is to catch a scintillating show at Shea’s Performing Arts Centre. Its campus now has three fabulous theatres for you to check out. You can catch brilliant Broadway productions, plays, and more.

Pierce-Arrow Museum

The splendid Pierce-Arrow Museum houses classic cars, artefacts and exhibits. It offers a fascinating look at the important role Buffalo played in the early days of the automotive industry. The museum now occupies several buildings downtown. You can see countless shiny cars, vintage bicycles, and amazing old motorcycles here. The highlight is the full scale replica of a 1927 filling station designed by renowned architect Frank Lloyd Wright himself.

The gallery has an array of impressive artworks. It is popular with locals and tourists alike. It was established in 1862. In total, it displays over 6,500 works. These include everything from abstract expressionism and pop art to cubist, surrealist, and post-impressionist styles. Plus you can see masterpieces by big names such as Picasso, Monet and van Gogh among others.

Buffalo Zoo

It has long been one of the city’s most popular tourist attractions. The zoo opened in 1875. There are incredible animals like rhinos and tigers to sloths. Plus, sea lions, and spectacled bears. Also there are over a thousand mammals and birds, reptiles, and amphibians.

Niagara Falls

It is one of the Earth’s most awe-inspiring natural wonders. Niagara Falls lies just half an hour’s drive to the north of Buffalo. It makes for one of the most spectacular sights imaginable. You can enjoy phenomenal views at the wonderful waterfall.
